Real Madrid won a record-breaking 6th Super Cup. Mbappe has opened his score sheet and Los Galacticos has been reborn.
Yesterday was the Super Cup final and Real Madrid unsurprisingly came out on top. Jude Bellingham proved he can play multiple roles for this team in midfield often tracking back to win the ball and drive it up the field. The midfield was key to them winning the game, Valverde was always there to pick up the ball and pick out passes which allowed the team to continue their attacking movements and Tchouameni was the perfect middle man for the two collecting loose balls and helping the link up play. This team looks formidable and the teams of Europe need to be prepared as this is just the beginning of the empire they are hoping to build.
Mbappe’s goal showed us perfectly the quality of this team. They are already in unison. Driving down the field Vini Jr attempts to cross the ball to Kylian Mbappe, but it flies right past him to Jude Bellingham who was waiting to collect any overpassed ball or deflection and perfectly whips the pass to Mballe for an easy finish. They know the calibre of player Mbappe is but also how good they are and that if they work together they will be able to become unstoppable.
Like most of you, I am excited to see what this team will be able to do next season and how they will surpass my expectations despite how high they already are for the team. They are built for the future with an average age of 26 and the empire is only just being built and reminds me of the empire built around Cristiano Ronaldo. Can they live up to this?
